The Transitional Justice Team is dedicated to addressing past injustices and fostering
reconciliation to build a more equitable and peaceful society. Our primary goal is to implement
and support processes that provide justice, accountability, and reparations for victims of human
rights abuses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Truth and Reconciliation: Facilitating truth-telling processes and creating platforms for
victims and survivors to share their experiences and seek justice.
  • Legal Advocacy: Providing legal support and representation to victims of human rights
violations and advocating for fair and just legal processes.
  • Reparations and Compensation: Working to secure reparations and compensation for
victims, ensuring that they receive the support and recognition they deserve.
  • Institutional Reform: Promoting and supporting reforms in institutions to prevent future
injustices and ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Community Engagement: Engaging with affected communities to understand their
needs and priorities, and involving them in the design and implementation of transitional
    justice initiatives.
  • By focusing on these areas, the Transitional Justice Team aims to help heal the wounds of the
past, ensure justice for victims, and contribute to the establishment of a society where human
    rights are respected and upheld.
